Kano state High Court 11 of Justice Rabiu Sadiq has granted bail to Deji Adeyanji, an Abuja based human right activist on Monday.
He was granted bail on condition that he hands over his international passport and produces two sureties with landed properties verifiable by the state agency in-charge.
The counsel to Deji, Barrister Haruna Magashi told newsmen that he was charged for attempted murder by the Kano state government under section 229 of the penal code.
The activist was sued for murder in 2005 but discharged and acquitted by the court in Kano and the case was recently revisited.
He is accused of pointing a gun at someone, shooting at him but missing the target.
The bail conditions are yet to be fulfilled as at the time of writing this piece.
